JUDITH LUO
SVA (School of Visual Arts) Rebrand
Branding, Visual Identity
– 2021

This rebrand for the School of Visual Arts establishes a timeless visual system rooted in geometry, structure, and balance. The core symbol, a horizontally shaped “house” that also recalls the form of a pencil, represents the school as both a creative foundation and a shared home for all disciplines. Each departmental mark is constructed from the same underlying grid, creating a unified set of symbols that differ in composition yet remain visually related. The geometric framework allows for flexibility across media while maintaining a strong, cohesive identity. A refined palette of traditional colors reinforces the idea of legacy and continuity, giving the institution a visual language that feels both grounded and enduring.

All artwork and paintings featured in this project are created by SVA alumni and used here solely for academic and illustrative purposes.
